The Passion Pursuit Project on Wednesday’s stands alone as a dedicated space for students to explore and cultivate their unique passions and interests, with projects of their choice. Due to an overwhelming interest in this topic we have decided to re-run this in Term 3.
We all eat, and food plays a pivotal role in every culture and family worldwide. Based on our overarching central idea for term 2- Food, and our students’ questions, interests and wonderings, our upcoming term’s passion pursuit program is dedicated to exploring practical culinary skills. We will create traditional recipes each Wednesday for 6 weeks. The remaining weeks of the term will see the children gather and apply their learnings to create their own cookbook and/or cooking show episode, harnessing technology skills, presentation and speaking skills, goal setting and time management.
Our goal is to empower our students with essential life capabilities that will form the foundation for years to come, enabling them to nourish themselves and their families through traditional cooking methods and techniques.
