Supportive Homeschooling
Community

"When children feel anxious, stressed, or unsafe, their nervous systems shut down —
and no real learning can happen. Lions was built to change that."

WHAT WE ARE

We're Not a School.
We're Something Different.

Lions Homeschool Hub is a supportive learning community for homeschooling families — not a registered school, and proudly so. Your child remains registered with your state homeschooling authority; we simply walk alongside you, providing the expert support, social connection, and safe environment that makes homeschooling truly work.

Think of us as your homeschooling team. Professional educators, a caring community of families, and a carefully structured program — all designed around the needs of the whole child, not a curriculum timetable.

Emotionally Safe

No bullying. No peer pressure. No performance anxiety. Children arrive as they are and are met with warmth, every single day.

Academically Supported

Qualified educators deliver live, interactive online sessions in small ability-based groups — personalised, not one-size-fits-all.

Genuinely Social

Regular meetups, camps, excursions, and a thriving online community mean rich friendships are built — on solid ground.

Safety Isn't a Bonus.
It's the Foundation of Every Child's Learning.

"We always treat each other with respect. We go the extra mile. And we have each other's backs."
The Lions Agreement, made with every student and family when joining.

Neuroscience is clear: a child whose nervous system is in a state of stress, anxiety, or fear cannot access the parts of the brain responsible for learning. Fight-or-flight is survival mode — not learning mode.

For many children arriving at Lions, school had become exactly that — a place of dread, comparison, and overwhelm. Whether it was social anxiety, bullying, neurodivergence, burnout, or simply a mismatch with a rigid system, they had switched off. Their families had too.

At Lions, we rebuild that sense of safety — and with it, the natural curiosity every child is born with returns. Our educators are trained not just in their subject areas, but in how to create relationships built on trust, consistency, and genuine care.

MAGIC MORNINGS

Every Day Begins
Before the First Lesson.

At Lions, we know that the conditions for learning matter just as much as the content. That’s why every morning begins with what we call Magic Mornings — a 10-minute grounding practice before any academic work begins.

Breathwork (Wim Hof method), guided meditation, Qigong, or gentle yoga. Children settle their nervous systems, focus their attention, and arrive in their bodies — ready to engage.

For many of our students, this is the first time they’ve started a “school day” without dread. For parents, hearing their child ask “when does Lions start?” instead of begging to stay home is transformational.

These aren’t just warm-up activities. They are life skills — tools our students carry into every stressful situation they’ll face as they grow. Self-awareness. Emotional regulation. Compassion. Resilience.

Writing by Student, Age 15. “I AM” Writing Prompt during Magic Morning Writing

Imagine a school day that begins with: "Find a comfortable position.
Rest your hands gently in your lap. Close your eyes." That's Lions

How We Support
Your Homeschooling Journey

Lions is not a one-size-fits-all service. Every family comes to us with different needs, and we meet you where you are. Here's what we offer:

Live Interactive Online Sessions

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–12:15pm (NSW time). Small groups matched by ability — not age. Professional qualified educators. Real connection, not recorded videos.

Core Curriculum Subjects

Structured academic support in core subjects, delivered in a way that builds genuine understanding — not rote memorisation or anxiety-inducing testing.

Project Days

One day a week, learning looks a little different. Our Project Day brings creativity to life through cooking, art, dance, music (yes, including ukulele!), Young Entrepreneurs Club, Dungeons & Dragons, and more. Real skills, genuine joy — and memories that last.

Homeschooling Admin Support

We help families through the registration process, learning plan preparation, and record keeping — so you can focus on your child, not the paperwork.

Ready to Find Out
If Lions Is Right for You?

We take the fit between a child, their family, and our community seriously. That's why we don't just accept enrolments — we take time to get to know each other first.

Step 1. Register Your Interest

Fill in a short form and one of our team will call you back to schedule a Discovery Call at a time that suits your family.

Step 2. Discovery Call

We talk about your child, your family, your goals, and your questions. This is a relaxed, honest conversation — no pressure.

Step 3. Observation Day

Your child experiences a real Lions session — the Magic Morning, the lessons, the community. They get to feel it before any decision is made.

Step 4. Mutual Agreement & Enrolment

If we’re a great fit — for your child and for us — we formalise the agreement around our three commitments (respect, going the extra mile, having each other’s backs) and begin onboarding.

Step 5. Onboarding & Day One

A dedicated 1-on-1 session gets everything set up. Then your child joins the Lions community — and the real learning begins.

Homeschooling
Doesn't Have to Be Lonely.

Homeschooling in isolation is hard. At Lions, we believe the community is as important as the curriculum. We’ve built something that brings families together — children and parents alike — in genuine, meaningful connection.

  • Regular social meetups for students and families
  • Camping trips and family adventures, organised by Lions
  • Excursions, and real-world experiences
  • A thriving parent community where you are not alone
  • Cross-age friendships — not limited by year group
  • A shared set of values that everyone — children and adults — holds each other to.

If your child has shut down, checked out, or is dreading every school day — you already know something needs to change. Lions may be exactly what your family has been looking for.

We’re a support service for homeschooling families across Australia’s East Coast and Northern Territory. We’re not a school. We’re a community — and we’d love to meet you.

Your Child Deserves to
Love Learning Again.
